Roles and responsibilities
We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to run our busy Workshop and team of Fitters, ensuring that all targets are achieved and customers are satisfied with the Service. On a day-day basis you and your team will maintain, repair and prepare for hire all types of portable accommodation units within our range, preparing units to high standard for our wide range of clients.
In this busy and varied role you will be responsible for managing performance and driving productivity, ensuring that the team are motivated to succeed in a safe working environment.
You’ll ensure that units are available and we keep our assets moving to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction. This will involve close liaison internally, with the Hire Desk and externally, with our customers and suppliers, so naturally you will be a great communicator and collaborator.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who has the drive and motivation to succeed and share in the success of the business, along with:
- Experience of managing and developing a team of employees in a workshop environment
- Knowledge or experience of the Accommodation Industry or equipment would be desirable
- Working experience in joinery, plumbing and/or building maintenance
- Good planning and organising skills with a methodical approach
- An inquisitive mind and good problem solving abilities
- Good communication skills and IT literacy
- Flexible and self-motivated, you’ll be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
- Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
- The ability to ensure all works are completed to a high standard within a tight timescale

The normal working week is Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any additional hours would mutually-agreed and paid as overtime.
